Around this time of year it's all too easy to snuggle under the duvet and tell yourself you'll go for the run later. Part of the fact I do this is because I don't actually have any wet or cold weather workout gear. This is my only excuse for not heading outside and working out in the colder months and it's about to change. Here's my top picks of winter-appropes workout gear!
Leggings are a gym-going essential anyway but invest in some proper Reebok Running Tights to make sure you're wicking away the sweat and keeping yourself warm. Pair with a light but waterproof jacket just in case the heavens open! I like the brightness of the Adidas Supernova Storm Jacket - this will also keep you more visible than a dark jacket will. Safety first, guys! When temperatures really drop, these Climawarm Gloves will save you from frozen fingers. If you're anything like me, you'll need this Reebok One Series Reversible Headband. I always get really cold ears when I run outside so a headband is a must. Plus, it helps to keep headphones in if they're pesky and keep falling out!
Guys, don't be afraid of the old tights! I'm not asking you to just wear your meggings whilst you're pounding the pavement but it's a great idea to pop some Adidas Techfit Base Tights underneath your running shorts to keep your legs warm. Your only other option is sweatpants and they won't be as easy to run in, capiche? On top, grab a Long Sleeve Running Tee or a base layer such as the Adidas Techfit Climaheat Mock-Neck Tee underneath a normal tee. The Reebok Sublite Escape are awesome kicks to run outside in, plus they're black so won't show up too many muddy puddle marks! Perfect.
