The festive season is happening all around us, and while we wait all year round for this magical time to roll through, to be quite frank, we’re exhausted. We’ve just finished uni, have eaten everything in sight without regard to calorie intake, partied like rock stars, and have spent every hard earned dime on gifts. The light at the end of the tunnel is NYE. We love all of the element’s of New Year’s: sparkly dresses, new beginnings, friendship! But the truth of the matter is that on New Year’s Eve, we either go out and wish we stayed in or stay in and wish we went out.
No matter what you decide to do this year, know we’ve been there and we feel you.
You see, there are two types of people in the world on NYE. This kind:
And this kind:
And that’s okay! But should you chose to go out, remember the elements are brutal this time of year, so there’s the small matter of being out in the cold in a skimpy dress.
Versus the warmth and comfort of your own comfy couch or bed!
There are certain inalienable truths on NYE, and one of those truths is that no matter where you go, you will have to wait on line.
Or, you could simply grab front row seats to your TV, avoid all lines/human interaction and cuddle up with your fluffy friend.
It's not surprising at all that New Year's is one of the most expensive nights out on the town, so get ready to spend all of that Christmas/Hanukkah cash.
But staying in can get expensive, too, when you can't entirely decide on what food to order in.
There’s a solid chance that either way, out on the town or in the comfort of your own home, that you might over-indulge on a few of those "adult beverages".
But the worst part of the night is definitely finding a safe ride home! For real, that Uber surge is about to take ALL of your money.
If you’re anything like me, you will ultimately feel 1 of 2 throughout the duration of your evening out on the town
Either:
Or
And when it comes to your midnight kiss! All you can do is pray it ends up being with the right person:
But if you’re home, I suppose the best you can do is pray it happens at all.
Tomorrow is the first day of the New Year, after all! You can either start your healthy resolutions out strong…
Or, you can spend the day like:
Truthfully, if you don’t go out, you are bound to get a killer case of FOMO!

But if you do go out, there's a small part of you that wishes you never left.
Either way, we hope you have the most amazing New Years Eve and that all of your dreams come true!
