Our buddies in Bessieres, south-west France have an incredible-sounding giant omelette festival to celebrate Easter where they whip up an absolutely MASSIVE omelette with approximately 15,000 fresh eggs! They use huge wooden oars to mix it and everyone in the town can visit and grab a slice when it's cooked. Sounds like a dreamy Easter Monday to us. Find out which omelette filling you'll be. Fun Fact
It first started because Napoleon supposedly visited Bessieres to stay the night. After having an omelette made by the innkeeper, he asked the whole village to gather eggs and make a huge omelette the next day for his regiment. Tasty.
