How could you forget about the Black Eyed Peas? With iconic songs like My Humps and none other than Boom Boom Pow. What a sick futuristic beat.

2. Poker Face

Ah, Gaga. I forgot she did things before “A Star Was Born” (just kidding)! How could you forget about Poker Face? How do you wake Lady Gaga up if she’s asleep? You poke her face! I'll show myself out now...

3. Love Story

Oh, young Taylor. She was still in the stage where she sang love songs and didn't mention snakes. I used to imagine getting to be in this music video and recreate Romeo and Juliet with my own hunk. Still waiting for my Romeo to show up.

4. I’m Yours

My mom used to always tell us that if we heard this song in the morning on the radio on the way to school then it would be a good day. Little did I know at that point in time that the radio only plays the same songs every single day. Still puts me in a good mood though when I hear it!

5. Party in the USA

The period of time for Miley between Hannah Montana and Bangerz. This song is still one of my favorite songs, it's just such a bop. It makes me want to put my hands up and make the butterflies fly away.

6. Halo

I don’t really know what to say about this song. You can’t say that it was at the peak or low point of Beyonce’s career, because her whole career is a high point. Anyway, she's a queen and this song is amazing.

7. Waking Up in Vegas

Remember young Katy Perry? Her bad haircut and her songs where she kissed a girl one moment and then married a man in Vegas the next? We love a woman who doesn’t conform and that is definitely Katy.

8. Fire Burning

Does Sean Kingston still exist? All I know is that when this sound would come on the dance floor, would be on fire with dance moves. So yes, the fire was burning.

9. She Wolf

This is my little brother's favorite song, and I feel like that's really all I have to say about it.

10. Fireflies

This song may be the most iconic from 2009, if I do say so myself. I remember a game I would play on my iPod touch where you would have to touch different buttons (like guitar hero on a phone). Fireflies was without a doubt my favorite song to play that game to. I think it was mostly so that I could listen to it over and over since my parents wouldn’t let me buy it on Apple (rude).
