16 podcasts we can't get enough of

True life: We Love Podcasts.

I think this meme really says it all: An image

1. My Favorite Murder

"Have you ever found yourself caught in a Wikipedia K-hole of serial killers and unsolved mysteries? Have you ever thought to yourself, "I want to stay sexy, but I don't want to get murdered"? Congrats, you're a Murderino. Comedians and general badass ladies Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff have turned their shared obsession with murder into the legendary podcast My Favorite Murder and I promise you it's not as creepy as it sounds. Georgia and Karen find humor in the darkest corners of humanity, while also swearing up a storm, feeding cookies to kittens, and giving great advice. Personally, the only things I love more than true crime are female friendships and comedy, so MFM is practically tailor-made for me. If you're not exactly a big fan of "accurately reported facts" or "correct pronunciations," this podcast is for you." - Julie

2. Anna Faris is Unqualified

"Just the other day I was smiling very incredibly hard while I was on the subway without realizing it. That is, until someone stopped me to ask what could possibly bring me that kind of joy on my morning commute. It was THIS podcast, of course. Does your boyfriend have commitment issues? Are you in love with the wrong person? Worry not: Anna Faris is here to save the day. Yes, Chris Pratt's wife and the star of cult comedy favorites The Hot Chick, Scary Movie and House Bunny is dishing out advice in the most sincere and unqualified way possible. She is utterly delightful; Pratt and their adorable baby (he wears GLASSES you guys) occasionally stumble into the dining room where Anna hosts with a slew of celebrity guests who chime in with their best attempts at advice. Not gonna lie, the theme song is really, really catchy and sometimes I listen to it on its own. Oh, I love Sim, the producer, too." - Sarah

3. Loveline with Amber Rose

"After having passed hands from OG and LEGENDARY host, Dr. Drew Pinsky, Loveline is BACK and better than ever. Neo-feminist, entrepreneur and co-host Amber Rose is joined by woke AF sex therapist Dr. Chris Donaghue and they're answering your questions on sex, relationships and self-confidence. They cover everything from sexual curiosity to self-empowerment and no question is a dumb question when Dr. Chris is at the helm. Amber and Chris's chemistry is palpable, they have a range of amazing guest stars, and I'm learning to love myself, be in a healthy relationship and know what it means to be a feminist in the 21st century." - Lauren

4. Notes in Spanish

I listen to Notes in Spanish and it's amazing for learning Spanish (in case you hadn't guessed!) - there are different levels so that everyone can benefit and you can just listen to people chatting about interesting topics rather than being taught individual words and phrases. It's so good for context! - Claire

5. Hollywood Babble On

"A fun but very sweary look at geek news and pop culture from Kevin Smith and Ralph Garman."

6. The Tech Guy

"Leo Laporte is the best possible guy to explain technology, computers, and the Internet to us. I started following him after listening to his local radio show on satellite radio while coast driving from SF to LA." - Alan

7. How Did This Get Made?

"Three of my favorite comedians watch bad movies and deep-dive into the best, worst, and weirdest parts. They cover everything from little-known movies from the 80's to the Fast and The Furious and Sharknado movies. Just expect people to give you dirty looks in public transit while you're doubled over in laughter." - Andrew

8. S-Town

"Brought to you by the same people who graced us the amazing Serial (Podcast listening 101), S-Town, hosted by Brian Reed, is about a man named John who despises his Alabama town. It starts out as John asking Brian to investigate a family in town who has (allegedly) been bragging about getting away with murder. But when someone else ends up dead, the search for the truth leads to a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man's life. It's haunting, it's beautiful, it's devastating, and it's addictive." - Sam

9. Switched on Pop

"Two brilliant dudes deconstruct songs.... Amazing." - Richard

10. Bitch Sesh

"My love of Bravo TV and comedy podcasts combined about a year ago and created this hysterical show. Casey Wilson and Danielle Schneider talk shit about most of the Real Housewives and Southern Charm shows along with self-professed Real Housewives historians and friends that have only seen one episode. It's one of my all-time favorite things to listen to every week." - Andrew

11. Stuff You Should Know

"My faaaaaaavorite podcast. Hands down. It mixes my love for learning about random subjects with witty banter (between the 2 super smart co-hosts, who also seem like the world's nicest dudes. I would die to get a beer with them & discuss really obscure/nerdy trivia facts). They can make literally ANYthing seem like the most fascinating thing you've ever heard of - topics have ranged from "gene editing" to "porta-potties"...." - Jamie

12. Reply All

"Human stories about the internet." - Michael

13. The Runners World Show.

"A must-listen for the dedicated runner/triathlete." - Anthony

14. U Talkin' U2 To Me?

"The comprehensive compendium of all things U2, where they sometimes talk about U2. Here's 2 minutes of a Harry Potter review." - Alex

15. Pardon My Take

"PFT Commenter and Big Cat host my favorite sports talk show, Pardon My Take. It's almost like a sports version of The Colbert Report. PMT is pretty much the first thing that comes to my mind when something happens in the sports world." - Ryan

16. Up & Vanished

"I'm fairly new to podcasts, but Up and Vanished is one that I'd definitely recommend, especially to all of you true crime fans out there! This podcast explores the unsolved disappearance of a beauty queen/teacher from Georgia, Tara Grinstead. The producer of the show, Payne Lindsey is a documentarian and not an investigator, which is part of the reason I enjoyed Up and Vanished. Payne provides a unique perspective on the case since he neither an investigator nor is he from the town where Tara is from. He works hard to interview people involved in the case, uncovers new leads, and ultimately raises a ton of awareness of the case. No spoilers here, check out Up and Vanished for yourself!" - Lily
