Sometimes there comes a celebration so silly, so ridiculous, that we just have to write about it. Hence, Unicorn Day. A day dedicated to the magical, mystical, perfect, unique, horn-y creatures. Not sure if you realized that unicorns are everywhere atm, but once Unicorn Day was brought to my attention, this silly little article practically wrote itself.

1. Unicorn Beauty

Not sure if you got the memo, but we’re a little bit obsessed with LimeCrime makeup, and we’re pretty sure you are too (even if you don’t know it yet). The cult makeup brand (it’s vegan and cruelty-free btw) believes that makeup isn’t meant to cover imperfections, but is rather a form of freedom and self-expression that supports the idea that everybody is unique. Their trademarked tagline is "Makeup for Unicorns,” so you know we couldn't not include them. Their newest product (released just this week) is their #UnicornHair semi-permanent hair dye that comes in GORGEOUS, fun, festival-ready colors like the ones pictured. We’re pretty sure that unicorns glow, which is why LimeCrime has the market cornered on highlighter. You really can’t go wrong with any of their lipsticks. Their diamond crushers come in about a thousand (sorry, that’s an exaggeration) colors.

2. Unicorn Fashion

If you, like us, identify more closely with unicorns than others (their loss obviously), nod to your magical friends by wearing them on a day to day basis. Whether you’re sporting a silly slogan like the one on this hat from Claire’s or challenging social norms with this cozy tee from Wildfox, you’re telling the world that you are a unique force to be reckoned with. Slide into these nautical striped sandals from ASOS, embossed with gold unicorns that put an enchanted spin on any look. You don’t have to wear a unicorn slogan across your forehead to show you’re a devoted unicorn lover. Fasten some pins onto your hat, bag or jeans to add a bit of whimsy!

3. #Unicornlyfe

In the event that you don’t already have a unicorn pool float (you probably already do because it’s the best one you can get), pick one up at ASOS. It’s the best. We spotted these unicorn phone cases at Casetify. “Be yourself unless you can be a unicorn, and then be a unicorn” is just really funny. The dark Ride or Die unicorn phone case is the perfect gift for your roommate as you finish out the semester, and the cartoon one is just so effing cute. Facetiming and long bus rides (welcome back, Megabus!) just got easier thanks to your new unicorn phone stand.
