FOMO is too real
Whether it be through Snapchat, insta posts, or even tweets... Coachella is EVERYWHERE. That means that each and every one of you knows at least ONE person that's going (or knows a friend of a friend that's going). Weekend 1 is well under way and we still have Weekend 2 to look forward to. It's alright if you're going through the 5 stages of grief, I know I am. Anyways, here are the 5 feels you ABSOLUTELY get when you miss Coachella (let it all out, it's okay to cry):
1. Denial
Wristbands sold out quickly and those that are still "available" (aka being resold) are ridiculously priced. If you're like me, you're just pretending nothing is currently happening in California and it's just another weekend.
2. Anger
The next stage of missing Coachella involves anger. It doesn't matter if you're angry at yourself for not buying tickets, your friends for going without you, or the flights for being so expensive... you're mad. I'd say take a deep breath and calm down but THAT'S NEVER HELPED ANYONE.
3. Bargaining
Once the anger has subsided, you begin to plead with everyone around you. "Please take me with you." "Bank account, give me more money." "Tickets, stop being so expensive." In some cases it works in others... well it leads to the Big D, depression.
4. Depression
By now the instas and Snapchats are nonstop. You can't escape and with every new one, the tears begin to fall. Hours keep passing but it all feels the same. Not even things that usually make you happy can help. It's just not the same as the sun drenched fields of Coachella.
5. Acceptance
After you've had time to process everything (and have run out of tears), the acceptance sets in. You can stream Coachella via YouTube and make it seem as if you're actually there. It may not be as great as being ACTUALLY there, but it's the next best thing. And hey, there's always Coachella 2019.
