Now what? Everyone has first day jitters and nothing is worse than showing up only to find out you're WAY off base when it comes to what people wear at work. Don't worry, we have what you need so that you can dress to impress. Below are just a few tips that'll help you fit in no matter WHAT your industry.

1. Blazers dress up any outfit

Worried your outfit is too casual? Throw on a blazer. Doesn't matter if you're wearing a dress or jeans, a blazer instantly takes you from casual to smart casual.

2. If you have to wear a suit, change things up

If jeans are too casual for your place of business and you HAVE to wear a suit, why not try a fun color? Summer is the time to experiment and take a step away from basic black.

3. Keep things clean and classic

You can never go wrong with a t-shirt and jeans... that's IF your dress code is more casual. By keeping things simple with the classics, you always look put together no matter how casual you may be.

4. Be trendy, but then make it work appropriate

If you're somewhere you can experiment more with what you're wearing, test boundaries. That being said, don't show up looking like you're headed to the club. Find a good balance between the two.

5. Pair a casual piece with something more formal for a fresh take

Whether it be a t-shirt and dress pants, a button down and jeans, or an athletic skirt with something more structured, mixing styles and levels of formality is a way to keep everyone on their toes.

6. Pick a shoe you'll be comfortable in

Depending upon what you do and where you live, you may do a lot of walking around. While heels or dress shoes may be your go-to, they're not always the most comfortable. Pick something you know you can last the day in but also goes with your overall look. This isn't class, sneakers won't always cut it.

7. Don't over accessorize

While your first instinct may be to put on every single "adult" item you own, just chill. Don't go in looking like an extra of The Sopranos or as if you belong in ancient Rome. It's not a cute look for ANYONE. Plus accessories often get in the way and nobody wants to fidget the whole time.

No matter what you choose to wear, you're gonna rock it. Get out there and show everyone just why you were hired. If you impress the boss, you may just find yourself with a full-time job once you're out of school.
