Moving to college is a huge leap into independence, and the transition can be difficult to handle. But fear not! We’ve put together a list of reasons to ease your college stress! Here are our favorites:

Relax

The constant change, workload and stress that comes with college life can be tough, so don’t forget to look after yourself! Take a night to pamper, watch your favorite TV shows or movies, or spend time with friends or family. What are you waiting for? grab a face mask and go!

It’s no secret that college is hard work. Deadlines aren’t your friends. One way you can make life easier for yourself is planning. Being ready for tasks and attending all classes are sure to help you when it comes to preparing your assignments and writing your essays.

Look after yourself

Get plenty of sleep and drink enough water. You won’t be able to work to the best of your ability if your body won’t let you, so make sure you give it what it needs. We know the late nights and party life of college will make this difficult, but balance is key.

Familiarize yourself with new surroundings

Moving to a new city alone can be daunting, especially if you barely know your way around. Allocate some time to venturing out, exploring, and getting to know your new home. You’ll thank yourself later.

Maintain your mental health

When leaving home and moving to a new city alone, many students struggle with anxiety, depression and other mental health issues. If you feel any mental struggles getting on top of you, visit a local counseling center, possibly on campus. Opening up to someone can help you, and is definitely worth your time.
