Soundtracks for movies have become more and more popular recently. The music quality is always rising! In the past year, we've seen some of the best and most iconic soundtracks to date. Here are 5 of the best movie soundtracks, from movies released in the last year or so! I have these on repeat, and there's a song for every mood I'm in. From Disney to Ryan Gosling movies, let’s get down to it.
1. Beauty and the Beast
Now I think any person reading this post will have expected this film’s soundtrack to be mentioned. Finally, the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast has been released along with the stunning soundtrack, with all the Disney classics along with some new additions. I loved the new remake as much as I loved the original version and they’ve certainly delivered on the covers of the original music too. Beauty and the Beast is one of the most iconic Disney films ever and I’m sure 99% of us were counting down the days for the release date. If you have seen the animated version and know all the songs word for word, you’ll be delighted to know they have delivered with all the classic tracks along with a couple of new ones which just fit with the film perfectly.
My favourite song from the original soundtrack is 'The Mob Song' where Gaston goes with the villagers to kill the Beast, it's so dramatic and brilliant. The new songs are great too, my favourite is "Evermore" it's a solo by the Beast and it's so adorable. I'd definitely add this soundtrack to your playlist, you can't beat a Disney sing song!
2. La La Land
The multi award-winning La La Land has been a huge success worldwide, along with its brilliant soundtrack. I loved the film and all the songs in it, and I have a couple of the songs on my main playlist. My favourite by far is "City of Stars" by Ryan Gosling, (maybe because he is so gorgeous as is his voice), the song is beautiful and I love it! I also love "Another Day of Sun", I firstly love it in the film when all the cast burst into song on the highway, but I love listening to this song to put me in a good mood.
3. 50 Shades series
I had to mention both soundtracks because I do love them both, however, I do prefer the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack, every single song I loved! My favourite from the Darker one has to be "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" by Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik, it was everywhere and it's so catchy and just a good song, one I really belt out in the shower. But I could listen to the whole Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack over and over - I definitely recommend!
4. Trolls
This is a more upbeat, dance around your kitchen kind of soundtrack. I love it, the film was adorable, and the songs are so catchy and brilliant. Obviously, it consists of the viral and chart-topping song "Can't Stop The Feeling" by Justin Timberlake, I think it's actually impossible not to sing along to that song. All the songs on this soundtrack are so upbeat and catchy and just make you feel happy!
5. Suicide Squad
This movie was so highly anticipated and so was the soundtrack and they both go hand in hand. All the songs on the soundtrack are all kick-ass just like the film. And they have a lot of well-known artists on there, such as Eminem, Wiz Khalifa and Panic at the Disco. My favourite song on there is definitely "Gangsta" by Kehlani it's amazing! This soundtracks has been one of my favourites over the past year and definitely worth a listen.
I hope you enjoyed reading, I’d definitely recommend all the films too they're all worth a watch! Don't forget you can get 50% off Apple Music student memberships so you can listen to all these songs and 1000s of others for just £4.99 a month.
