Something happened; can you feel it? The atmosphere seems too cosy to be true, every shop window is filled up with lights and the people you cross by seem more stressed out than usual. If I'm not wrong, then you are definitely thinking about the same thing as I am. It is December or in other words; Christmas time! If you don't feel the Christmas spirit yet, I am promising you: you will feel it after this blog post. I'm getting all crazy when it comes to Christmas and I will not hold it back! One of the things I love most about Christmas has to be the festive atmosphere. I'm 100% one of those people, who like to sit inside by the fireplace with a good cup of hot chocolate. Also, a special Danish traditional pancake-like thing called æbleskiver; it is a must during Christmas. It can be explained as a pancake in a distinctive shape of a sphere. In general, Christmas food is like Heaven! Though of course, the Christmas music itself has to be at the top of the list. The good old classics All I Want for Christmas Is You, Last Christmas and Santa Claus Is Coming to Town are some of my absolute favourites. I can remember myself as a little girl, singing along to these songs, grinning running around in our living room. Something there makes me love Christmas so much is also the possibility to give gifts. Watching someone you know and care about so well, lighting up because you gave them something. It might sound a bit cliché, but I really like the idea behind giving presents because it is the thought that counts. And as long as it isn't too much, I love when it snows during this festive season. There are a lot of complications about snow, true point, but by decorating every possible area; it brings a special spirit to its surroundings. Every single day in December brings you one step closer to Christmas Eve. I truly love to count down the days. No matter how old you are, I believe it is absolutely all right to be excited for Christmas. It is only a gift and it says more good about you as a person, which I believe you all should remember! So a big toast for Christmas time, aye? Remember to enjoy it and not only get stressed out by the many things there are on your list!
