UNiDAYS: guest blog post guidelines

Thank you for showing interest in contributing a guest post to the UNiDAYS blog, The Edit! We're excited to feature fresh perspectives on student life, career tips, money-saving hacks, and all things relevant to our student community.

We aim to bring you the latest and greatest from your favourite brands, a behind-the-scenes look into exclusive fashion events and loads of tips and advice to make your student life even better!

We’re all about authentic, fun and useful content here at UNiDAYS, so we’ll only publish articles from people who know what they are talking about, whether that’s a member of our fabulous Social Media & Content team or a carefully selected guest blogger.

Who we are

UNiDAYS connects students across the globe with fantastic discounts, opportunities, and resources. Our blog supports that mission by providing helpful, engaging, and inspiring content for the student journey.

What we’re looking for

  • Original, well-researched content: avoid rehashing common topics. We crave new angles, data-backed insights, and expert perspectives.
  • Actionable & shareable: give our readers something they can put into practice within their student lives.
  • Student-focused: target issues students care about, such as budgeting, mental health, study strategies, side hustles, career prep, and navigating student discounts.
  • An authentic voice: be yourself! Conversational and relatable writing styles work brilliantly.
  • 1000-1500 words (Ideally): while we value quality over length, longer posts tend to provide more depth.

Topics we love

  • Smart ways to save money as a student
  • Balancing studies, work, and social life
  • Mental health and stress management tips
  • Recipes and cooking on a budget
  • Travel hacks for students
  • Career advice and finding internships
  • Reviews on tech, gadgets, and apps useful for students
  • Personal stories about the student experience
  • Creative side hustle ideas

Formatting

  • Submit your post as a Google Doc or Word file.
  • Include short, descriptive headings to break up your content.
  • Use bullet points or lists where appropriate for easy reading.
  • High-quality, relevant images are encouraged (please ensure you have usage rights).

Author bio

  • 2-3 sentences about yourself, your expertise, or your student journey.
  • Links to your website, blog, or social media profiles (if applicable).
  • High-resolution headshot.

Additional guidelines

  • No Duplicate Content: We only publish original work.
  • Moderate self-promotion: You may include a relevant link to your site if it adds value to the reader, but overly promotional posts won't be accepted.
  • Editing: We reserve the right to edit for clarity, grammar, and to align with the UNiDAYS style and tone of voice.
  • Response time: We aim to respond to all submissions within 10 business days.

How to submit

Send your post ideas or completed piece to [email address]. Please include "Guest Post Submission" in the subject line.
