Fellow beauty babes, it’s time for us to delve into the fab-u-lous makeup trends of 2017. I think it’s fair to say that 2017 was an amazing year for us in terms of makeup brand launches within the UK. We had Fenty Beauty by Rihanna arrive in Harvey Nichols and Huda Beauty launched in both Selfridges and Harrods – hurrah! So where do I begin…

A pop of colour

Colour popped up all over our Insta feeds throughout 2017, and I loved it! Keeping everything else simple, with a pop of colour on the eyelids or lips was definitely a go-to look throughout the year.

Glow like J-Lo

If there was one product everyone loved in 2017, it's got to be highlighter. We had highlighter products coming out of our ears in 2017, and everyone was GLOWING. Kim K launched KKW beauty, including her Ultralight Beams Shimmers, starting a glowy revolution! As well as everyone going crazy for Fenty Beaty Killawatt in shade Trophy Wife.

Less is more

And finally, the less is more mantra. In 2017, we ditched the winged eyeliner and heavy contour and replaced them with glowy cheeks and luscious lashes - subtle never looked so good!
