This post is brought to you by Apple.
Settling into uni life can be a stressful experience, especially when balancing a new timetable, learning in a completely different environment and making the transition from school (on top of being away from home for the first time.) But, there are plenty of ways you can stay ahead of the curve and now Apple are making that even easier for you.
A laptop made for students
Everyone knows that getting a good laptop is essential to your uni life. After all, you’ll probably be writing all your lecture notes, doing your assignments and, of course, having those Netflix marathons. So, picking the right one can make all the difference, but not all computers are created equal.
Macs are so intuitive that won’t have to bother wasting your time learning your way around and they work seamlessly with your other Apple devices (one of my fave features is Airdrop where you can send things straight from iPhone to your Mac or iPad and vice versa so easily), so if you love your iPhone this one is a no-brainer. MacBooks are also incredibly thin and light, so even when you’re moving from lectures to the library or SU, you won’t have to worry about lugging something hefty around with you. Another thing you might not know is that Mac is compatible with the software you use everyday like Microsoft Office, so it really is a win-win situation.
Today at Apple to unlock your creativity
It’s easy to get bogged down in essays and reading (or just realistically just slobbing around) in your first few weeks at uni and sometimes you just need an outlet for your creativity. Whether you’re more into photography and design or coding and app development, Today at Apple run hands-on group sessions every day, at every Apple store that inspire learning and creativity.
The best part is that all these sessions are completely free and you can find the right one for your skill level. There are three different formats too; Skills, where you can learn new techniques like editing on iPhone, Walks, where you’re encouraged to get out and connect with the community and Labs, where you can experiment with creative techniques- you could even find yourself creating beats with Swizz Beats!

iPad that keeps up with student life
Not only is an iPad super easy to throw in your bag and keep with you, but its all-day battery life means it can actually keep up with everything you’ll be doing. With an iPad you can also channel your creative flair, as all models support Apple Pencil so you can paint or even just make handwritten notes that help you to digest your lectures in your own way. There are 1 million apps for iPad and all the productivity tools you could ask for.
For those of you who are still unsure about making an iPad your number 1 device and stepping away from a more traditional laptop, the iPad can be paired with a Smart keyboard, so you can have a physical keyboard when you get into the heavy stuff like writing your dissertation-eek! Microsoft Office and Google docs are also compatible with iPad so you’ve got everything you could possibly need.
