Baking is one of my favourite things to do, but it can be pretty indulgent. I scanned Pinterest for some inspiration for healthier bakes- Am I the only person who looks at the beautiful food pictures on Pinterest and questions if any of the healthy bakes can taste as good as they look?
I chose three healthy bakes and gave them a go to find out once and for all!
1. Granola bars
These granola bars were super simple to make and could be a great way of breakfast prepping if you’re an on-the-go sort of person in the morning.
Difficulty: Relatively Easy Taste: 7/10 Rating out of 10: 7
Olivia’s top tip: This recipe works really well with cashews too.
2. Low-fat blueberry and banana muffins
These muffins are such a crowd pleaser, and you cannot tell that they are healthier. If you use smaller cake cases, this recipe makes around 12-15 muffins, think about how many friends you can impress!
Difficulty: Quite Easy Taste: 9/10 Rating out of 10: 9
Olivia’s top tip: Add white chocolate chips for an extra little treat!
3. Avocado brownies
These chocolate brownies are divine, and you can’t taste the avocado. They’re really rich, and are great when they’re still warm.
Difficulty: Easy Taste: 9/10 Rating out of 10: 9
Olivia’s top tip: Add a handful of walnuts for an added crunch.
