Far too many girls have their boyfriend waiting outside at two minutes past midnight where you get to dance until you can’t feel your feet and destroy 20 chicken nuggets with your mate. Winning.

I am more than content star-fishing in my super-kingsize bed without a guy snoring there every night. Sometimes it’s nice to pick and choose when you have a bed partner, not every night when you’re just not feeling it….buh-bye.

I’ll never forget being in floods of tears at my first proper job because my boyfriend was accusing me of cheating. What an absolute waste of energy that was, let alone making me look ridiculous in front of my boss. Relationships bring a lot of unnecessary emotions that could be put into growing your friendships and movin’ on up that career ladder. After all, life is meant to be fun right?

6. #Masterdating – trust me

Not only is it not good for us to be overly attached to people, but being alone with our own thoughts is genuinely healthy. It may sound like something out of Sex & The City, but go for a lovely dinner on your own or walk down to the park and look at the sun go down. It’s amazing how chilled it is.

7. Fewer arguments, less stress

Whilst you’re at Uni, do you really need a moody boy having a go at you for liking someones Instagram post? Let the stress go and focus on yourself, it’s a ridiculously important time for you, don’t let somebody else ruin it. Moreover, I can’t stress enough how much it ruins your day if you find out your boyfriends cheating on you – no thanks ☺
