Everyone knows brunch is the most important meal of the day; whether it’s perfecting your Instagram or getting you ready for another big night. DesignMyNight, the UK’s leading nightlife website, has rounded up the five best brunching options outside of London, from snap-worthy eggs benedict to raucous rounds of bingo.
Brighton - Bottomless Bingo Brunch at Proud Cabaret
Three of our favourite ‘B’s are in the mix for this afternoon offering from Proud Cabaret Brighton. Better known for their saucy burlesque nights, the group are waking up early for Bottomless Bingo Brunch. Head over to Kemptown every Saturday or Sunday for a party that involves four courses of breakfast deliciousness, 90 minutes of bottomless cocktails or prosecco, and a completely bonkers game of bingo, hosted by Juice FM's Guy Lloyd.
Bristol - Buttermilk & Maple
Buttermilk & Milk, on Bristol’s waterside, are so serious about brunch, they serve it all day, every day. The modern spot is based on the laidback cafes that populate Melbourne, along with some New York buzziness thrown in. When it comes to food, the kitchen creates a hit list of fancy breakfast dishes; think lobster benedict, buttermilk pancakes and truffle eggs - perfect with a pint of their craft beer.
Birmingham - The Button Factory
Located in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, The Button Factory is all sorts of brunching cool. With oodles of industrial chic, the venue has a stylish mix of exposed brick walls, cosy leather booths and retro posters; plus, if the weather’s sunny, try and grab a seat on the outdoor terrace. Brunch comes in bottomless form every Saturday with a choice between two (£30) or three (£35) courses accompanied by bottomless bubbles.
Manchester - Cottonopolis
Cameras at the ready because everything about Cottonopolis is snap-worthy. This Northern Quarter cutie was once a tailor’s studio and has now been transformed into a beautiful dining space. Well known for interesting Asian plates, the venue puts a twist on the brunch menu, with dishes such as chicken karaage and scrambled egg waffles, and wagyu brisket on a poached egg crumpet. Drinks are a steal too, with bottomless prosecco, mimosas or bloody marys costing £12.50 for 1.25 hours.
Edinburgh - Electro Brunch at Gaucho
This isn't any old brunch, this is Gaucho Edinburgh’s Electro Brunch and it is not one for the faint-hearted. On the pricier end of the scale, the fancy steak restaurant’s brunch is worth splashing out on, with two hours of bottomless everything. Feast on endless steak and eggs, bacon sandwiches, and banana pancakes, and to help you wash it down, there’s bottomless Aperol spritzes and Gaucho’s own, punchier take on the bloody mary.
