Award season is in full swing and although we love the glitz and the glamour of the American awards shows, we always have a soft spot for the BAFTAS. Take a look at what went down on the night!
The stars wore black
In support of the Time's Up campaign, the stars of film walked down the red carpet in black. Some attendees like Angelina Jolie arrived with equality campaigners.
Joanna Lumley took the reins as host
After regular host Stephen Fry announced he would be stepping down from his presenting duties, another national treasure stepped up to the plate. It wasn't quite the controversial performance we expect from US hosts, but she was just as lovely as you'd expect!
Daniel Kaluuya won the Rising Star Award!
The star of everyone's favourite politically charged horror film, Get Out, took home the prestigious award that has, in the past, gone to the likes of Tom Hardy and John Boyega. This can only mean good things to come for Daniel! Catch him in Black Panther, which is in cinemas now.
Paddington 2 was mentioned A LOT
Unexpectedly, this film kept popping up in all the categories. Now, that's something you won't see at the Oscars!
Kate and Wills popped down
Prince William is the official president of BAFTA and took to the stage to introduce the Fellowship award, which was presented to Ridley Scott at this year's awards. Kate accompanied the Prince and looked lovely walking the red carpet with her growing baby bump!
Three Billboards wins big...
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri won 5 awards on the night including Best Film and Outstanding British Film. If you haven't seen it yet, check out the trailer below:
