It’s August, meaning there’s only one month of the summer holidays left—boo! Do you feel like you haven’t done anything meaningful yet? Bestie, there’s still plenty of time.

1. Have a beach day

Grab your mates and head to the nearest beach. Make the most of the lovely weather and take in the sea breeze. If you end up in Blackpool, Hunstanton, Scarborough, Brighton, Weymouth or Great Yarmouth, you can even extend your day with discounted SEA LIFE tickets!

Tip: get there suuuper early to see the sunrise and enjoy some quiet time by the sea before the rest of the world wakes up.

2. Picnic vibes

3. Read a new book

4. Visit somewhere new

Climb a mountain, go to Alton Towers or even visit a botanical garden. If you’ve always wanted to visit somewhere, now is the perfect time to tick it off your list and experience something new.

5. Go camping

Explore the great outdoors and plan a camping trip this summer! Gather your mates and see what equipment you all have lying around. If you need supplies, make sure you use your Go Outdoors or Blacks student discount. All the gear and no idea? If you’re not feeling the camping aspect, why don’t you explore all day but get a hotel or hostel room at night? We won’t judge, promise.

6. Volunteer

If you’ve been thinking about volunteering during the summer, you won’t regret it. Find a cause that’s important to you and offer your time—it’ll be one of the most rewarding things you do this summer.

7. Cook or bake something new

8. Sell your old clothes

So many people see September as a fresh start. Declutter your room, sell your old clothes that you’ll never wear again and make room in your wardrobe for some fresh fashion pieces. Also, you’ll have more £££ in your pot for the start of term!

9. Host a games night

Get competitive and host a games night with your friends. It’s a cheap and easy way to catch up, without it being a night out.Encourage everyone to bring a game and see who will come out on top.

10. Get creative

Find your fave creative medium and have a go this summer. You could create a scrapbook, do some painting or even make bracelets! When you’re ready to get your supplies, head to Hobbycraft.
