High school is a difficult time. I've never met anyone who has actually, thoroughly enjoyed their high school years. As a high schooler, my grandmother once said to me 'you'll look back and think of this as the best time of your life'. I have never felt more dread than that moment. My teeth were covered in braces, my school shoes were the chunky orthopaedic ones and I was most definitely not popular.

In turns out I wasn't alone. Twitter asked people to sum up their high school experience in five words using the hashtag #MyHighSchoolYearsIn5Words. The resulting twitter storm is worth a read.

Every country Australian teen is currently shrugging at this tweet not really understanding what the big deal is. There were literally snakes ALL THE TIME at my school. The teachers told us that when we saw a sname, one of us was to run and tell the teacher while another child watched the snake to make sure it didn’t disappear, which in hindsight seems pretty ridiculous, on account of DON’T LEAVE CHILDREN ALONE WITH SNAKES.
