LET'S GIVE 'EM SOMETHING TO TACO BOUT

How about love? Oh wait, that's a different day. In honor of National Taco Day, I've gone ahead and pulled some of the most memorable moments of taco-centric pop culture that have ever been. AND just in case you get hungry, I've made sure to pair each and every moment with a taco recipe that'll be sure to leave you wanting more.

1. Yo Quiero Taco Bell

What kind of taco list would this be without THE commercial of the 90s? A bad one, that's what. Every time I see a chihuahua, I can't help but mutter "yo quiero taco bell" under my breath. Fun fact, the "male" chihuahua from the commercial was actually female in real life.

Pair with... copycat Taco Bell tacos

Sure, I guess you could go buy your own OR hear me out, you could learn to MAKE copycat tacos and have Taco Bell whenever you want.

2. Taco Tuesday

If you haven't seen The Lego Movie... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! First, stop and go watch it. It'll make you view "Taco Tuesday" in an entirely different light. Or at least, it'll make you look differently at it until your next Taco Tuesday and then you'll probably have forgotten all about it.

Pair with... taco ranch bites

You could make regular tacos or you could switch things up with taco ranch bites. They're absolutely adorable and bite sized, just like legos.

3. Let's Get A Taco

Does Reservoir Dogs come to mind when you think tacos? No, me neither... then I stumbled across this clip. It'd been there the whole time and I just glossed it over. Then again, it's probably fitting seeing as what all goes on in the movie. Tacos should be the last thing on your mind.

Pair with... walking tacos

If you're going to be busy planning a heist (then following through with it), you don't want a taco that'll get in the way. Enter the walking taco (also known as the frito pie). Less mess but all the deliciousness of a normal taco.

4. Spaghetti Tacos

There's nothing more iConic than iCarly... okay that's a lie and I just wanted to make the joke. That being said, who HASN'T wanted to make something as weird as spaghetti tacos for some late night munchies? It's sounds weird but

Pair with... taco spaghetti

If spaghetti tacos are TOO weird for you, you ought to try taco spaghetti. It's basically regular spaghetti with different seasonings.

5. All restaurants are Taco Bell

Demolition Man certainly had an interesting view of the future. Then again, if all restaurants were like the Taco Bell in Vegas... I don't think I'd really mind if all restaurants were Taco Bells.

Pair with... taco stew

If all restaurants are Taco Bell then all food could count as Taco Bell food. Taco stew is a nice alternative to your go-to traditional taco.

6. Tacodile Supreme

Who knew tacos could be cute? Well if you've spent any time on the internet, you would know. Have you not seen the cute little cartoons that say they "don't want to taco bout it?" Oh... you've not, just me? That's fine. Another cute iteration is the Tacodile from Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.

Pair with... a crunchwrap supreme

If you're gonna go supreme (and not the witchy AHS kind) why not try a dupe of Taco Bell's crunchwrap supreme? The same argument as the copycat tacos, why go to Taco Bell when you can make the crunchwrap supreme EVERY DAY on your own? And for cheaper too.

7. Terry's Tacos

Oh Reno 911! Gone far too soon. That being said, the humor wasn't for everyone (and neither was Terry). After working everywhere under the sun, Terry finally found a job at Tacos! Tacos! Tacos! But that wasn't the only kind of work he was doing.

Pair with... cheesy taco sticks

If you're not allergic to roofs and enjoy sitting on them, the cheesy taco stick is for you. No mess and easy to take with you no matter where you end up.
