As a lot of you would’ve heard over the weekend, that American rapper, singer and music producer Mac Miller sadly passed away on September 7th.

Malcolm James McCormick, famously known as Mac Miller, was found unresponsive and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller was 26-years-old when he passed away from an apparent drug-overdose. However, the definite reason has not yet been announced. Miller was always open about his substance abuse.

Earlier this year, Mac Miller went through a very public break-up with singer, Ariana Grande. Grande said that she “tried to support his sobriety” and prayed that he eventually figured it all out.

A lot of social media users were posting abusive comments on Grande’s social media platforms, blaming her for his death and drug-use. Since, the singer has disabled comments on her Instagram page. Ariana Grande paid a tribute to the late Mac Miller by posting a picture of him on her Instagram page, a couple of days after his death was made public.

Mac Miller stepped into the music scene at the age of 15-years-old and went by the name, EZ Mac.

Over the past years he’s been very active in the music scene, collaborating with musicians such as Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams and Lil’ Wayne.

Many artists in the same industry took it to Twitter to pay their respects to the rapper’s death…

Drake who is currently on tour with the Migos’ dedicated a show to Miller, in his honour.
