We challenged our members to create a kindness-inspired graphic tee and you guys came through! Meet winner Alex Shortall and her particularly zesty winning design.
Here’s what the finalist, Alex, had to say:
*I’m a 20 year old Fashion design student at the University of Edinburgh. I’m thrilled to have created the winning design as an internship with New Look is truly a dream and will give me invaluable skills for my future career ambitions.
I would love a career in the fashion industry and am particularly interested in having a positive impact with this, through promoting sustainability, kindness and other causes I’m passionate about.
This competition was therefore perfect for me and I loved thinking about how I could use a simple-shirt design to promote kindness to a wide audience.
My ‘Start Your Day With Kindness’ design was inspired by thinking how we could all incorporate kindness into our daily routines, by drinking our ‘Kindness Juice’ every morning. Adding simple acts of kindness to our daily lives is an easy way to help each other after the last tough year.*
Runner up Niamh Foley
“It’s more important that ever to spread positivity and kindness to those around us. I’ve created a fun, bold graphic tee that will add a little bit of joy to the wearer’s day.” —Niamh
Runner up Shivani Gohil
“The important message of equality needs to be supported. If we come together as a society and show love towards one another and our planet, the world would become a better place and we will always be “better together.” —Shivani
