No two internships are alike… and none come close to what Project Everest Ventures (PEV) has to offer.

Our current collab with PEV is a comp where one lucky student can win the ultimate internship – with PEV in Fiji!

So… what does that mean?

PEV operates social enterprise programs in Fiji, Malawi, India, and Timor Leste. All first-time interns are known as ‘trekkers’, and all trekkers have the chance to get actively involved in different ventures covering different social issues.

In Fiji, PEV operate three social enterprises: FarmEd, SoCon, and Fuel. Each of these targets a different UN Sustainable Development Goal, with the different teams of trekkers focusing on achieving these goals on a grassroots level for the locals.

FarmEd

FarmEd A unique, tech-based consultancy service where trekkers provide agricultural expertise to smallholder farmers. The aim is to create a more efficient and more profitable food supply chain, with the ultimate goal being to move closer to zero hunger.

SoCon

SoCon aka Social Consulting/Microfinance

With the goals of decent work and economic growth in mind, you’ll be involved in a team that provides real-world advice (based on local market trends and data) to the community. From there, locals will be in a better position to secure capital to fund their own businesses.

Fuel

If you’re into cooking, business, and rockets...
… And who isn’t?! PEV developed a ‘clean cook stove’ named the Rocket Stove that reduces the amount of materials needed to fire it and also the amount of soot and smoke of other cooking methods. This venture focuses on the goal of responsible production and consumption, with locals being given access to the stove so they can experience its benefits first-hand.
