Recently, Netflix energetically entered the young-adult romance film genre with many films: some strong, and some more forgettable, and honestly, regrettable works. With so many different forms of love and romance, and with audiences more diverse and open than ever, Netflix Original movies have a seemingly endless supply of source material. Here is a ranking of Netflix’s most recent young-adult love stories from worst to best!

6. The Kissing Booth

One cannot ignore the fact that The Kissing Booth does have a huge cult following. Just a look at the views on the many Youtube videos of the cast are enough to wonder if this movie is any good. But, upon further inspection, it is apparent that not even such a likeable cast (with a couple that is dating in real life) can save such a movie. The title is misleading, and the characters are confusing, and for all intents and purposes it should probably be called “Not a love triangle, but kind of a love triangle, not all of which is romantic?” The brothers’ gigantic, and questionably luxurious mansion is pretty impressive though. Ranking 6/6

5. Sierra Burgess is a Loser

Sierra Burgess is A Loser was awaited with open arms, especially after the release of To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before (and Noah Centineo’s rapid rise to heartthrob status). It is well acted, and beautifully directed, showing teenage characters that are multi-dimensional and experiencing emotions including, but also besides, the usual angst and the all obsessive crush. The plot begins to loosen when the actions of its characters become increasingly unethical, and an otherwise much-needed message begins to become blurry. Ranking 5/6

4. Set It Up

Set It Up is charming! It’s fun! And has been praised as a revival of sorts for the rom com drama! It is beautifully driven by the interactions of so many great actors, and a plot that is silly and fresh, while also providing a slice of life feel. Lucy Liu and Taye Diggs remain likable, besides being written to be the most unlikeable bosses. And the main couple, portrayed by Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell, have an undeniable chemistry, the type that is warm, giddy and endlessly rewatchable, making Set It Up feel like a cup of hot chocolate by the fireplace on a cold winter night!!! Overall, Set It Up is a sweet and fun time that is very much recommended. Ranking 4/6

3. Alex Strangelove

Alex Strangelove is an honest and comedic, and in many scenes very palpable telling of an LGBT teenager’s journey through love and sexuality. Daniel Doheny plays Alex with an energy that is electric as much as it is relatable, portraying the awkwardness and sense of urgency of high school, love, and sex with an unapologetic genuineness. Ranking 3/6

2. The Fundamentals of Caring

While not exactly centered around its young adult romance, The Fundamentals of Caring, as the title suggests, is about love and friendship in its various forms. Taking its source material from a young adult novel entitled The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving, it follows Trevor (Craig Roberts) who suffers from muscular dystrophy, and his new caregiver Ben (Paul Rudd). It is a story and narrator that is not usually seen in young adult media, nevertheless in such a darkly comedic, almost lighthearted way. Trevor’s crush on Dot (Selena Gomez) reminds viewers that this is firstly a movie about a teen’s experience, and their interactions are just as giddy and awkward as viewers want. Ranking 2/6

1. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before

Met with much deserved acclaim and just general melt-into-a-puddle emotions, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before is so great, it’s almost perfect. Many have pointed out its John Hughes reminiscent style and its revival of the teenage rom-com that is for lack of better words, pure. The chemistry between Lana Condor and Noah Centineo is the type that gives all types of audiences butterflies, and the celebration of family is simply heartwarming. It is also must be mentioned that Jenny Han had to fight to have her leading lady remain as the Korean-American she wrote her to be in the original young adult novel. Making To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before basically groundbreaking in terms of representation. Ranking 1/6
