About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Myunidays Limited, and its affiliates (collectively, “UNiDAYS”, “our” or “we”) use cookies, and similar technologies, such as pixels (which are sometimes called “web beacons”) and software development kits (“SDKs”) (collectively “cookies” or “Cookies”) on www.myunidays.com, our iframe embedded on any websites of our business partners (“Partners”) that allow access to the UNiDAYS platform, the UNiDAYS mobile application (our “App”), and any other website or application operated by or on behalf of UNiDAYS on which this Cookie Policy is posted or linked (collectively, our "Platform").
This Cookie Policy explains why we use cookies, which cookies are used, and how you can manage our use of cookies. We encourage you to also read the UNiDAYS Privacy Policy which explains how we use your personal data.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are sent to or accessed from your web browser on your device’s hard drive. A cookie typically contains the name of the domain (internet location) from which the cookie originated, the duration of the cookie (i.e. when it expires), and a randomly generated unique number or similar identifier. A cookie also may contain information about your device, such as settings, browsing history, and activity while using the Platform.
We use two types of cookies: persistent cookies and session cookies. A persistent cookie lasts beyond the current session and will stay on your browser until they expire or you delete them. Session cookies last only as long as the session (usually the current visit to a website or a browser session).
Cookies that UNiDAYS sets on its Platform are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by any other party are called third-party cookies. Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality on or through the Platform, such as analytics, marketing automation and targeted advertising. Third-party cookies can recognize your computer both when it visits our Platform and also when it visits certain other websites.
To learn more about cookies generally, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies for several reasons. Some cookies are required for technical reasons in order for our Platform to operate whilst other cookies enable us to track and target the interests of our members to enhance their experience on our Platform.
Third parties also serve cookies through our Platform for advertising (including targeted advertising) on other websites (such as social media platforms), tracking and analytics.
The types and functions of cookies served through our Platform are described below.
The specific cookies served may vary depending on the specific part of the Platform that you visit. Information about the specific cookies that are served on the Platform can be reviewed in the cookies list at the end of this Cookie Policy.
The following is known as an "essential" cookie:
- “Essential” (or strictly-necessary) cookies are first-party cookies that allow us to deliver the Platform to you and to provide specific services that you request from us. They are set in response to actions made by you to change your privacy settings, log in, or complete forms, as well as for essential Platform functions such as to control fraud, use security elements during browsing, and enable dynamic content (for example, loading animation of a text or image.) Since they are strictly necessary, these cookies are downloaded by default and are needed to be displayed on the Platform.
The following are known as "non-essential" cookies:
- “Performance” (or analytics) cookies help us collect information about how visitors use the Platform so that we can analyse and improve our Platform. We use information collected by performance cookies in aggregated form, rather than linking the information to individual Platform users. Where permitted by applicable law, we will deploy first-party performance cookies automatically when you visit our Platform. If you opt out of or do not allow performance cookies, we will not know you when you visit our Platform.
- “Functional” cookies allow the Platform to remember your choices or preferences, such as information in forms or previous activities on our Platform. These cookies allow us to offer you a personalised experience while using the Platform. UNiDAYS and third parties that have services embedded in specific areas of the Platform may set these cookies. If you do not allow these cookies, then some or all of the services available on the Platform may not function properly.
- “Targeting” (or advertising) cookies are set through the Platform by UNiDAYS and third-party advertisers (such as social media providers) and are used to build a profile of your interests and show you advertisements that we and our Partners think will interest you both on the Platform and other websites (such as social media platforms.) If you choose not to allow targeting cookies, you will still see advertising but it will not be tailored to your interests.
Consenting to the use of cookies and the personal data they collect
Essential cookies are cookies we use which are strictly necessary for the functionality of our Platform, to enable it to work and they allow you to navigate the Platform easily.
For non-essential cookies, when you visit our Platform for the first time, we present you with a cookie notice and tool (Cookie Preference Centre) requesting your consent for these cookies. We have to use a cookie to remember your cookie preferences in order to comply with the law (you can see details of the cookies we use in the cookies list at the end of this Cookie Policy).
When you first visit our Platform, we automatically set essential cookies on your device that are strictly necessary for our Platform to work. In respect of the non-essential cookies we use, you will be invited to consent to our use of them using our Cookie Preference Centre. If you do not provide your consent using the Cookie Preference Centre, we will not set these non-essential cookies on your device. If you do not provide your consent, our Platform will still work but some of the enhanced and personalised features may not.
If you provide your consent in respect of non-essential cookies, you will also be providing your consent for us and the relevant third parties (such as third-party advertising companies) that use those non-essential cookies to use your personal data in the ways set out in our Privacy Policy. We will only set or read the relevant non-essential cookies for the durations set out in the table below. You can withdraw your consent at any time by using our Cookie Preference Centre to turn off or opt-out of the relevant cookies. Please see the ‘How can I manage my cookie preferences?’ section of this Cookie Policy below.
If you withdraw your consent for us to use non-essential cookies, the consent you have given us to use any personal data we collect using those non-essential cookies will also be withdrawn. Please see our Privacy Policy for further details.
Cookies on our Platform
To learn about the cookies on our Platform, please see our cookies list at the end of this Cookie Policy.
Does UNiDAYS use targeted advertising?
We use targeting cookies to display and help our Partners display targeted advertising (also referred to as personalised or interest-based ads) on other websites (such as social media platforms) through personal data collected when users interact and engage with the Platform. We use, for example, the following types of targeting cookies:
- asj_user_id: this is a first party cookie which helps track visitor usage, events, targeted marketing and can also measure application performance and stability;
- _ttp: this is a first party cookie to measure and improve the performance of our advertising campaigns and to personalise the user's experience (including ads) on TikTok.
- _fbp: this first party cookie is used by Facebook to deliver a series of advertisement products such as real time bidding from third party advertisers;
- _scid: this first party cookie is used by Snapchat and sets a unique ID for the user, that allows third party advertisers to target the user with relevant advertisements;
- _rdt_uuid: this first party cookie is used by Reddit to attribute conversions back to Reddit Ads;
- _/ad/#/pixel: this first party cookie enables us to track conversions from Quora ads, optimise our campaigns, and build targeted audiences based on website traffic.
For more details about the cookies we use for targeted advertising, please review the cookies list provided at the end of this Cookie Policy.
Targeted ads are displayed based on information generated by online activity, such as:
- any purchases you make through the Platform;
- your use of the Platform (including tracking your use of the Platform);
- how you respond to campaigns we launch on the Platform;
- when you visit sites (such as social media platforms, such as Facebook, Reddit, Pinterest, Quora, Snapchat or TikTok) that contain Partners’ content, ads, or cookies; and
- the websites that you visit before and after you log on to the Platform.
You can change your cookie preferences, including targeting cookies, on the Platform through the Cookie Preference Centre. You will still see ads but they may not be personalised to you.
UNiDAYS uses Google Analytics technology for targeted advertising. Google sometimes refers to targeted advertising as ‘remarketing’. The data generated by Google’s technology are transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. On behalf of UNiDAYS, Google will use this information to evaluate use of the Platform and compile reports for us and third parties that help operate and provide services related to the Platform. If you prefer to not have data reported by Google Analytics, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On, by following the instructions here.
For general information about how Google collects, uses, and shares your information, please visit Google’s Privacy Policy. Google has developed an opt-out browser add-on accessible here that you can use to opt out of Google's use of tracking technologies.
How can I manage my cookie preferences?
You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can use our Cookie Preference Centre or modify your web browser controls to accept or refuse non-essential cookies.
You can change your cookies settings at any time, including by withdrawing your consent, through our Cookie Preference Centre. You may need to refresh your browser for your updated settings to take effect.
If you are using the UNiDAYS App, you can change your cookie settings at any time, including by withdrawing your consent, through the ‘Privacy Settings’ menu under the ‘Account’ tab on the App.
Some browsers will allow you to see what cookies you have and delete them on an individual basis or block cookies from specific websites or all websites. If you delete all cookies, then the Platform may not function properly and you will lose preferences stored in your browser, including your preference to opt-out from cookies using one of the opt-out tools.
- You can learn more about how to opt out of third-party cookies at https://optout.aboutads.info/?c=2&lang=EN (US) and http://youronlinechoices.eu/ (EU).

What other tracking technology does UNiDAYS use?
Pixels contain a unique identifier that enables UNiDAYS to recognize when someone has visited our Platform or opened an email from UNiDAYS. This allows us, for example:
- monitor the traffic patterns of users from one webpage within our Platform to another;
- deliver or communicate with cookies;
- understand whether you have come to our Platform from an online advertisement (including any targeted advertising) displayed on a third-party website (such as on Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, Quora, Snapchat or Pinterest);
- improve Platform performance; and
- measure the success of email marketing and social media campaigns.
If you do not wish to enable this tracking, please do not download images in our emails and/or please unsubscribe from our emailing lists by following the link at the bottom of each email or in your account settings. Some pixels are linked with cookies which means that declining performance cookies may impair functionality.
How often will UNiDAYS update this Cookie Policy?
Cookies on our Platform may from time to time change, such as when we engage with a new Partner or vendor. We encourage you to check back from time to time to learn about cookies on our Platform.
The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
