Keep your accounts safe online
At UNiDAYS, your safety online is top priority. We make sure we have powerful security measures and the highest respect for your data privacy, so you can trust us with your information.
One of these measures is making sure the password you choose when signing up is as strong as possible. First, we run a check on the password you’ve entered to make sure it hasn’t previously been published publicly on the internet or been included in any past data breaches. If we find it has, you’ll see a prompt to choose a different, more secure password because your first choice isn’t safe to use.
If this is the case for a password you use for lots of things, we suggest you change it on other sites, too. If you ever want to check if your passwords are still secret, this site is really helpful: Haveibeenpwned.com
There are lots of other things you can do too to make sure your online accounts are super secure.
Passwords
The good ones are great and the bad ones can be, well, pretty useless. It’s easier than you think to make your passwords Hulk-like in strength:
- Don’t share your passwords with people and don’t write them down
- Use password managers or encryption services to keep them extra secure. They’re easy to use and there’s loads available to choose from
- Use different passwords for different sites. Choosing a longer password, such as four random words or a sentence is generally stronger than a shorter password that replaces letters with special characters (and easier to remember!)
- Update your passwords regularly
Test how secure your login details are
Haveibeenpwned.com is a useful site where you can search for your email addresses and passwords to see if they have been exposed and published online anywhere. The results can indicate which login details you need to update to stay secure. Remember, if you use the same password for pretty much everything, your risk of being hacked on multiple accounts is much higher.
Keep your software updated
Outdated software can make you vulnerable, so making sure things like operating systems, apps and browsers are up to date means they’ll have the strongest possible security measures.
Wise up to phishing
Phishing scams are getting smarter all the time, but there are things to look out for: something in that email sounding a bit… Off? Don’t recognise the sender? Is someone asking for your personal information? Send it straight to trash.
Protect your devices
If you’re anything like us, your phone will usually be glued to your palm. But, in case it does get lost or stolen, set up remote wiping capabilities and a strong PIN with facial or fingerprint recognition turned on.
Be careful what you share online
You didn’t go all the way to Bali not to share it on Insta, but just watch what personal details you could accidentally give away, like your location, address, birthday or the name of your first pet (hello, security questions!) These could be used by someone impersonating you to falsely verify your identity.

One-time passcode (OTP)
What is a one-time passcode?
A one-time passcode is a randomly generated number used for authorisation and authentication purposes. It improves your account security and increases the protection against phishing or hacking attacks.
I haven’t received an email containing a one-time passcode
Make sure you have entered your email address correctly and that you have checked your junk or spam folder. Once you have made these checks, select ‘Re-send passcode’ and we will attempt to deliver the OTP email again.
If you are using your academic email, your institution may have restrictions that stop you from receiving emails from us - try adding {no-reply@auth.myunidays.com} to the safe senders list of your email client.
If you have tried all the previous steps, please use an alternative email address by selecting ‘Change’ on the OTP page.
I’m getting an error when entering the one-time passcode
Please ensure you are entering the correct one-time passcode exactly as it appears in the email that you received. Each OTP is only valid for five minutes. Please ensure that it is the latest OTP you have received as only the latest one sent will be valid.
Why can’t I request another one-time passcode?
You have reached the maximum number of OTPs that are requestable at this time. If you are experiencing this, please try again later.

We are not able to get this discount back ourselves as we do not deal with any orders or transactions. You will need to contact the retailer directly explaining the situation, quoting your current student discount code or transaction reference number.
I’m having repeated issues with my codes, what do I do next?
All of our codes are region specific. So it might be the case that that the codes being used are for the wrong region. We also advise that you check the brand exclusions for the retailer in question and clear your cache and cookies before applying a new code.
It is also worth trying to check out as a guest where possible. If you continue to experience issues with your codes, please contact us.
The code isn’t applying the right discount, what do I do?
Do you have any sale items in your basket? Usually the discount will only apply to full price items, and some items may be excluded altogether.
Occasionally certain product ranges/items will have different amounts of discount.
Check the retailer’s terms and conditions for further details on what is, and isn’t included.
If the items in your basket definitely should be getting more discount than is showing, please contact us.
